    Hi Andrew,

You could use "Smart Program Hours" to control allowable running days and hours.
Please click the "menu button" in the upper right corner in the "Program" tab to access the setting page, then click the "Smart Program Hours" option.

    Best Regards,
    Joseph

What is "smart" about that? At that point it's no different than just manually programming it.

    Hi Andrew,

The "Smart Program" is based on EPA WaterSense specification.
But we still add more features in addition to the standard.
You can go to the "Smart Program" page, then go to the "Smart Watering Adjustment" section.
There are "maximum watering time per day", "maximum watering cycle", "minimum soaking cycle" and the "overall adjustment".

What we can do is to add a new feature "minimum watering cycle" for "deep water irrigation".
This should automatically reduce the watering frequency.
    I will keep you posted.

    Best Regards,
    Joseph

Hi Joseph, yes that sounds great! I think many would value that.

Mentioning WaterSense seams odd since one of its tenets is to water infrequently. But just picking "cool season grass" has Yar,dian watering my grass five full cycles a week!

Also, something is broken about MAD. It states % and when you load a default option it shows up as % (0>N>100) but when you save it becomes normalized (0>N>1). If I change it to anything >1 it never waters. If I change it to anything <1 it always waters with no change.

    Hi Andrew,

WaterSense spec doesn't have any regulation on watering frequency but you need to irrigate based on the weather data. The minimum run time requirement is 3 mins. I believe the new feature of "minimum cycle time" should fix the frequency issue.

We are looking into the MAD issue now. Thanks a lot for reporting this to us.

    Best regards,
    Joseph

    Hi Andrew,

I would like to let you know that we have adjusted our smart watering algorithm such that the watering duration will be increased therefore the watering frequency will be reduced. The total amount of water will be the same but this will make sure the root zone gets sufficient watering. Please observe for 1 or 2 weeks and let us know if you have any questions.

    Best Regards,
    Joseph
